WHAT ARE MOLDS?

Mold is a type of fungi that grows in multicellular structures. It grows in places with excessive moisture and damp environments. Although it plays an important role in the ecosystem, molds found indoors can cause health issues and structural damage to your property. It is best to remove them immediately and take measures to avoid their growth. Testing and inspection are good steps to solve them.

MOLD PROBLEMS

Mold testing is an essential part of building inspections. It can help determine if your home has a mold issue and how best to address it. At Environtech Building Consultants, we are experts in mold testing and remediation requirements. Most molds are not harmful and only cause problems when they grow unchecked or within occupied buildings. We use state-of-the-art testing and diagnostic equipment to find where mold is growing so we can provide solutions for correction.

IS YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS SUFFERING FROM TOXIC MOLD?
Mold is everywhere. It can be found in any home or building, including yours. If you’ve experienced a flood or water damage, you’re more likely to have mold present in your home. Mold loves moisture and thrives in damp areas such as basements and bathrooms. It can also be found in kitchen cabinets, under carpets and furniture, and even behind wallpaper.

Mold can be dangerous to your health but not just because it smells bad (though that’s enough reason for some people). Once the spores from mold take root anywhere in your home or office space, they can spread quickly unless treated properly by professionals with experience dealing with toxic black molds like Stachybotrys chartarum (AKA “black mold”)–which has been linked to causing asthma attacks among other serious health issues due to its ability to produce mycotoxins with negative effects similar to the common cold or flu.

HOW WE DO IT
In order to do a mold inspection, we will first need to take a sample of the suspected area. We will use special equipment that is designed specifically for this purpose. Once we have collected enough samples, we will send them into a certified lab where they are analyzed by professionals who understand how molds work and what kinds are found in different areas of homes or businesses. The report from the lab will tell us if there is any mold present in your home or office and what kind(s) were found during the inspection process.

WHAT WE OFFER
Mold testing is a process of determining the presence and severity of mold growth in an indoor environment. Mold spores are microscopic and float through the air, so it’s difficult for homeowners to know when or if they have an issue with mold growth.

If you suspect that you have a problem with a mold infestation, we can help identify any areas where mold has grown and make recommendations on how to correct the situation. Our services include:

Mold inspection
Fungal analysis
Air quality testing (to determine if hazardous spores are present)
Toxic mold testing (if you think your home may contain toxic levels of black mold)

WHY IT MATTERS
Some people are more sensitive than others. If you have allergies or asthma, you may be particularly susceptible to the effects of mold, especially if your symptoms are triggered by other environmental factors such as pollen or pet dander. In some cases, exposure to mold can cause long-term health problems such as asthma and sinusitis. It can also lead to short-term reactions that cause coughing, sneezing, and wheezing — similar to what happens when you have a cold or flu.

Mold is also dangerous for pets: it can make them sick too! And this is something that we don’t often think about until our beloved pets start getting affected by the problem at home. Since there’s so much mold in our homes nowadays (and since we spend most of our time indoors), it makes sense that many pets become allergic after prolonged exposure over time…or even immediately upon moving into a new place with plenty of hidden microorganisms lurking inside those walls!

MOLD TESTING IS IMPORTANT FOR DETERMINING WHETHER OR NOT MOLD IS HURTING YOUR HEALTH.
Mold testing is important for determining whether or not mold is hurting your health. If you have been experiencing health issues that seem like they might have been caused by mold, it’s a good idea to get tested. Mold can be toxic to humans and cause various illnesses. It may also be able to damage property and make living spaces uninhabitable if left untreated.

Mold can cause problems in several ways: by secreting toxins into the air, falling onto surfaces where people walk barefoot (or even wearing shoes), and causing allergic reactions in some people (such as asthma).

MOLD TESTING
Mold testing is the easiest way to determine if mold is present in the building as it can harm your health. It’s important that you take this step as soon as possible because certain types of mold can be dangerous, especially for those with underlying health conditions as well as asthma or allergies.
